COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students enrolling in this programme will be looking to develop their English to enable them to progress to further studies of their choice. The course aims to develop skills in writing academic compositions and reports, interpreting academic materials, listening skills at lectures, and participating in tutorials and presentations.

CERTIFICATION & RECOGNITION

Certification is issued by International House Sydney – Teacher Training Centre upon successful completion of the course.

COURSE CONTENT

The course includes:

• Academic writing development
• Academic speaking development
• Academic listening development
• Academic reading development
• Development of Language system
• Focus on study skills and learner independence
• IELTS and TOEIC exam preparations options

ASSESSMENT

Regular in-house monthly testing is incorporated into the programme.

ENTRY CRITERIA

EAP has two levels:

• EAP 1 is available for students at a strong intermediate level (IELTS 5.0)
• EAP 2 is available for students at an upper-intermediate level (IELTS 5.5)

COURSE LENGTH

Both EAP 1 and EAP 2 are 12 week programmes.
